What to do with your images: Vivid Metal Prints

By July 27, 2015 One Comment

Today I’m excited to share with you another installment of “What to do with your images”, our blog series to help you get your photos out of your hard drives, onto your walls and into your life !

We are all guilty of having years of digital photos trapped on our computers, risking the possibility of data loss, and potentially never seeing the light of day.  I am probably more guilty of this than anyone else I know.  I live in a house with naked walls.  I have hundreds of thousands of digital images at my fingertips from family trips, vacations, adventures, but when I want to get something on the wall – I freeze up, become overwhelmed by options and ultimately walk away and leave it till another day.  Does this sound like you?  Do you also live in a house with naked walls?  Or do you have lots of wall space, but only print photos in 4×6 or 5×7 for fear of them being TOO BIG ?  (We’ll talk about that in another blog post.)  Today I want to share with you a really classy modern option to make your photos into beautiful ready-to-hang wall art!

So what is a metal print?  A vivid metal print is simply a thin sheet of stainless steel that has been printed with your digital image on it and then coated in a clear gloss to really make the surface shine.  Think of it like that new car sparkle for your beautiful photos!

Here’s the straight on view of this sunset family photo printed at 20×30 inches – I threw the magazine stack in there for size reference.  Honestly, this photo doesn’t do it justice at all.  When the light hits this image through the window, it looks like it’s glowing!

The best part about metal prints?  They come ready to hang!  Just pull it out of the box and stick it right on your wall!  No measuring, no searching for the right frame, no attaching complicated hardware.  Each piece comes with a spacer that gives the image a little bit of 3D dimension from the wall and a secondary piece of stainless (the white backing is showing here) attached with three holes so that you can hang it with one two or three nails depending on your needs.  Surprisingly, it is not nearly as heavy as you think!

Metal prints can be ordered with horizontal or vertical images in a range of sizes from 8×10 up to 20×30 and look best when you hang them in a spot that gets great light in your home.
